Dr Trinanjan Basu completed both his MBBS and MD (Radiation Oncology) from Calcutta University in 2010, then did senior residency at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has expertise in all modern radiotherapy technologies including IGRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT, Tomotherapy and Cyberknife. He is currently working as a consultant radiation oncologist and has been in the field for over 8 years.

Professor Lakshman is currently the Director of Research Laboratories and Chief of Lipid Research at the VA Medical Center, Washington D.C. He also has joint appointments as Professor in Departments of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Medicine at George Washington University. He directs studies in alcoholism, alcoholic liver disease, oxidative stress, coronary artery disease, and metabolic obesity.

Professor in the Department of Radiology and the Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology at Ohio State University (OSU). He is a member of the Molecular Carcinogenesis and Chemoprevention program of the James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, and Director of the Molecular Carcinogenesis Laboratory, conducting basic cancer research at OSU.

Head of the biggest Centre of Obesity Surgery in Germany — The Helios Hospital Berlin-Buch. He has published more than 37 papers and performed more than 500 presentations. The Humboldt University of Berlin nominated him as professor of surgery in 1997. Since 2006, bariatric surgery became the focus of his work.

Full Professor of Molecular Biology, University of Catanzaro “Magna Graecia,” since 1995. He has over 25 years of research management experience. His experience at Merck Sharp and Dohme research centre IRBM P. Angeletti in Pomezia (Rome) from 1991-2009 included responsibilities for several early drug discovery programs, and Site Head and Managing Director for 200 employees. In 2009, he co-founded Takis s.r.l., a spin-off focused on Oncology. He was appointed Scientific Director of IRCSS Istituto Nazionale Tumori “G. Pascale” Napoli in March 2012.

Professor in the Department of Biological Regulation, Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel. He completed his doctorate at the Weizmann Institute in 1990 and moved to postdoc training with the late Prof. Krebs at Washington University, USA. He re-joined the Weizmann Institute as a group leader in 1994. Dr. Seger contributed significantly to the field of signal transduction, particularly the stimulated nuclear translocation of MAPKs.
